Guest guest
Autumn, no the tests you mentioned have not been done on either or . s' C3 was deficient in last years batch of immune testing, but no followup tests were ordered as a result, and has the low C4. I have been researching some sites since I got s results last week , and know more now than I did with my last post. It is disconcerting to say the least, but fits in so much with the way they both present and the infections they are susceptable to, and it seems possible to connect some other things, too, or at least it sheds light on other puzzles to their health issues. I will have to wait until their immunologist can explain it better to me, in how it effects them as individuals, but I have many questions I wouldnt mind posing to others with a complement deficiency. Foremost, and Kimberely might help here, is there a term for a complement deficiency other than saying just that? In combination with the IgA deficiency, is there a 'group' category (for instance theres SCID, CVID, Brutons etc and its none of these but is there some term other than the longwinded 'Selective IgA deficiency and complement C4 deficiency'-in s case) ? We are still waiting on the post pneumococal results to come in, so I dont yet know if there is a problem there too. , mum to and > Hi , > > Mark has had low C4's for a long time now.
