The ultimate goals of the Project's research are to fully define immune etiologies in autism; develop appropriate treatment options for individuals who have autism through autoimmunity or immune system deficiency; develop mechanisms for prevention of immune-based autism, such as infant pre-vaccinal screening routines for immune and immunogenetic status.
