Guest guest
Have the boys improved in themselves? Hopefully Eileen will answer, I think the tets can be misleading so you have to look at child Mx My 3 boys all had strep levels of 400 on blood tests. They have been taking 5 days on and 2 days off Aziythromycin for 12 weeks. Just got the blood results back and two of the boys levels are unchanged but 's has doubled to 800!Anyone else doing this regime? anyone noticed a drop or increase in levels? The antibiotics are fairly hefty ones and very expensive.Dr Goyal at Breakspears is treating all the boys so I will have to try and get a phone appointment to speak to him but would like to know if anyone else is doing this first. Don't want to just keep feeding antibiotics or get talked into having their tonsils removed if it doesn't make a difference. Many thanks. Guest guest
Thanks for comments.....gosh 3 years is a lot of antibiotics!! No, haven't noticed much difference in the older two but is still quite agitated and can just flip into a tantrum, am hoping maybe the oxygen will help him. Will try and call Dr G to see what he thinks re: strep levels. Not sure I have the dedication to do 3 years worth. > > My 3 boys all had strep levels of 400 on blood tests.
