I did the instructional for 2 weeks straight before trying the basic. There were so many moves I couldn't do when I started the basic (like the double time rear kicks). Then I spent 1-2 months on the basic for trying the advanced. I highly recommend going slow and mastering each tape before advancing to the next because in taebo, good form is everything.
