Guest guest
Dear J.D. et al, There's a whole archive on biofeedback in the Seattle Times archives. The fallout is only affecting unlicensed non-certified biofeedback therapists and neurotherapists who make any claims other than relaxation and muscle re-education for stress reduction, pain management and enhancement of the quality of life. Americans for Better Health (ABH) is the group that's been paying medical personnel to report nutritionists and biofeedback providers who make any " false " claims. Good luck pinning them down. Their checks are reportedly drawn on the Grand Cayman National Bank. Their attorney is reportedly in the British Virgin Islands. I spent hours trying to run both of them down for Rima Laibow in 2004 and 2005. The ABH name keeps popping up in license board hearings so I think they're still active. If you discover anything, please share. In the meantime I keep telling people, if you're not licensed or certified either get certified (NTCB.org or BCIA.org) or get a spiritual healer license (HealerCoach.com). BTW: The trouble the EPFX is having is because the manufacturer claims the device has cured cancer, diabetes and aids patients. The FDA says that is not legal because the EPFX can only be used legally for relaxation to reduce stress and manage pain. Who do you think will win that battle?
