I remember this happening due to unusual circumstances at a world master event.

I wasn't present but I heard the whole story from another lifter who was

present. There's a lot more to this story regarding that meet director and why

there was a terrible bar in use...but that's another story and I'm not going to

tell that one here.

Yes, you can get injured using a warped bar deadlifting. The lifter in question

tore his biceps tendon completely in the effort to control the bar which

essentially " rolled " in his grasp.

Much depends on how warped the bar is, but generally I'd retire that bar from

use.

Is deadlifting a warped bar dangerous? Can you hurt your wrist or hands by doing

this? Or can it be beneficial for the grip?
