Hi, could someone recommend a lip salve with no nasties in it that would help protect my DS's sore lips. His top lip is so dry it has cracked and bled. I have been putting coconut oil on but it doesn't seem to absorb into the skin very well. Many thanks for any suggestions. Sue

we have the same problem, very sore lip and nothing seems to be

working.

Can anyone suggest why many ASD kids suffer from cracked

lips in the first place? I'm guessing there's a defiency

but no idea what? Ta muchly. x

No vaseline is certainly a "no no!" Stick with something natural & non toxic.

I use Thorne B2 and have add that to the b multi we use. For ds he requires

quite a bit but even moreso when he's doing something viral-related. We've seen

very bad lips during viral protocols.

Thanks for all your responses.

Can anyone recommend a good brand of B2?

Thanks, Sue

B2 deficiency here also - confirmed by blood test.

I have found the pure lanolin cream really for this. Its the one for sore bits when breastfeeding - sell it at boots and most chemists. Quite expensive at around £10 for tube but lasts ages and has loads of uses.

No preservatives or nasties (unless intolerent to lanolin).

SOmetimes giving a supplement that makes the methlyation cycle work better in turns uses up B2 quicker, 'clown' lips are common with Mb12 and High doses of B2 have sorted that here
