Guest guest
Per my previous email about Dr. Stein and the Buffalo Fat Transfer to the eye area: I wanted to make it clear that my eyes are not so terrible that they cannot be fixed. Dr. Beninger assures me that everything will probably be okay, and that I should just avoid letting anyone mess with them again. The Buffalo hump lipo had gone fine, I never disputed that. It was only the fat transfer to the eyes that I had trouble dealing with -- (1) because the results were unacceptable -- uneven and particularly baggy on one side and (2) because I had been approached by Stein about that fat transfer procedure in a pre-op visit -- told him I didn't think so -- and then he asked me about it again after I had taken the pills to help me relax, at which point I agreed... I don't think I was in a state to make that decision at that point. Perhaps Dr. Stein did not realize how " out of it " I was at that point. One Poz-member sent me a warning about Dr. Stein previous to that procedure. I was only planning on the buffalo hump reduction when I got the " warning " so I went ahead with the procedure. As I said, I would not have agreed to the fat transfer had I been " all there. " The member who had sent me the warning replied to my posting with an email saying words to the effect of " I'm sorry but I told you so. " That was fine, He was right, he told me so. I emailed him back and thanked him for his concern. I also told him (partly reassuring myself) that Dr. Beninger said he thought he could correct the fat transfer on my eyes with no problem. This member then told me that he thought I had presented the situation more dramatically than I should have, if all was going to be well. I don't THINK that I was being overly-dramatic but if I was, I apologize. THIS HAS TRAUMATIZED ME. It has also cost me tons of money in terms of getting something re-done that was fine to begin with (the eyes). That's why I shared this with you all. It was not an attempt to be overly dramatic. Again, sorry if I was. Thanks for listening, and for all the lovely emails I received. Even though the Buffalo hump has returned about 50%, I am still okay with that particular part of the result. (Just not the eye thing) And I do believe that I will find someone ELSE to deal with re-doing more lipo on the buffalo hump after I recover from (a) the eye surgery redo and ( the radiation on the swollen parotids in Los Angeles. One thing at a time. Thanks for listening ... Mark
