Guest guest
Group, What do you think is the specific cause for the extreme nausea we sometimes feel after completing an all-out set of squats? Is it momentary low blood pressure or momentary low blood sugar, a combination of the two, or something different altogether? I hate having to cut a workout short because I have to leg it to the restroom and spend the next twenty minutes being sick. Obviously, to prevent the problem from appearing at all, we know we should get enough sleep, eat correctly throughout the day, ensure proper hydration, and pay attention to how we feel after warmups -- if I feel crappy after my warmup sets I know it's probably not wise to push my work sets to the limit. But what to do if in spite of all these precautions I find myself in this situation? (Not that it happens often, but it does happen every few months.) Do members have any suggestions as to what to do when you're already being struck with increasing waves of nausea after exertion? Should one sit down, or lie down, or stand, or walk around a little bit? Should one drink water, or maybe something like Gatorade? Should one take deep breaths, or concentrate on breathing slowly to prevent hyperventilation? Thanks, Pérez Reynosa, Mexico
