Guest guest
Price of the stainless steel ones on ebay were way up there, over $60. I thought they were cheaper at Bed Bath and Beyond. i bit on a couple of them but postage is high so didn't bid a lot. Will see what happens. Not sure I want to wait until the bid is over though. Going to go check them out tomorrow. I did buy some things on more instant purchases that go with aerogarden. If I see a good price, I'll let you know. It was just slightly cheaper than the best price I found online. R. Guest guest
Now you ladies tell me about this super machine. Sure does spin fast. I use it for peeling all of the root veggies (beets, turnips, kholrabi, etc) that I grow in my garden. I would be lost without it. Works great as a salad spinner too, but super for peeling. > > > > > > Bed. Bath and Beyond sells the OXO. I need to go to Bed Bath and Beyond for the spinner tomorrow. got my coupon for 20% off. Then I'll open that bunch of sprouts and see what it looks like and really wash them well if they aren't rotten. Guest guest
I know. I saw something neat on a youtube video. She took the outer leaves of brussel sprouts and she parboiled them for a couple of minutes and took them out and immersed in ice water and then used them in a salad. She kept the rest of the brussel sprouts for cooking the usual way. She got both the side dish and salad from them for 2 different meals. I liked the idea of putting that in the salad.  I hadn't thought of that. the parboiling for a few minutes was to make them more tender for the salad and ice water kept them a pretty green color.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2012 11:27 PM Subject: Re: Wow!!
