Hi Dr GCertainly has a lot us our kids on aciclovir at the moment. He must be seeing good things with it ,hopefully. It's hard though when their behaviour deteriorates and they can't tell you what they are feeling.Just have to have faith I guess.Best of luck with everything, you certainly have a lot on your plate.KathSent from my iPad

Hi, just to join in the thread, (13) started acyclovir a week ago under Dr G. After a few days he was very tearful and agitated so I started the nurofen straight away. We are trialling him first and if we notice anything positive will try the other boys on it too. Nothing of note to report as yet....

's strep was 800, doubled from the original level of 400 after 12 weeks of aziythromycin , apparantly means his immune system is actually doing something about the strep but he is not a happy boy at all and having huge temper outbursts and lots of tears so he is also on nurofen now and even bigger doses of aziythromycin and seems a bit better plus of course the 3 hours a day of oxygen from a concentrator. Dr G would like us to get all the boys' tonsils removed, has anyone else considered this?
