Hi again ,

A couple of months ago, I wasn't sure if Saskia would ever talk, but she has

improved so much since she turned 3. I was also told by the various

professionals that she may never talk so don't give up hope! It's great

that our kids don't care if we can sing well or not - trouble is, I find

myself doing it loudly in the park or in the supermarket.....and not always

when Saskia is with me! No, I'm not near Kent - we're down in the

south-west corner of England. Have you been over here to visit? Where does

your friend live? Is early intervention like Portage? We get Portage once

a week, but Saskia also goes to a mainstream nursery for 4 mornings.

Bye for now,

Diane xx

Dear Diane,

Hi! My friend lives in the brent, danford kent.dal lyn. no I've never been

there, nor has she ever been here, but we met on line and have become dear

friend, we have spoken on the phone and exchange pictures..

I believe that early intervention is probably like the portage. ours comes

out weekly too at this point until her third birthday, than after that it'll be

broken up more into separate meetings, like the speech lady will come to my

shop 2-3 times a week and I'll have to take her to the center for therapy for

her gross and fine motor skills and I can't remember what all else. they said

they will give me a paper explaining it all sometime this summer.

I really hope Madie will talk like your daughter does. she recently has

started saying something that sounds like bath, which she loves , so we're happy

about that!

love
