Guest guest
Farm raised fish have a lot of issues, regardless of what country they are farmed in. First, since the tank are usually very unsanitary and overcrowded, they keep antibiotics, steroids, growth hormones and other medications in the tank water to prevent the fish from getting sick. When fish die in the tank, they are left in there rotting amongst the other fish. Second, the feed they give them are largly made up of wheat/soy and corn pellets-NOT a natural diet for a fish! Anyone with allergies to wheat/soy/corn WILL react to fish raised on it. Also they are often given growth hormones to " matrue " them faster. Really sad what goes on that we don't know about. I had NO clue about such things until allergies gave me a wake up call. > > > > > > Donna, > > > > > > All fish should be labeled to say whether it's farm raised or wild > > > caught.
