Hello Everyone,

Hey, when I'm doing the roundhouse kick and side kick I always hear

saying ..feel the burn..Well, I never feel the burn on these two kicks..I'm

checking my form..my resting heel is fully turned towards my kick..I am

turning my hip upwards..I am lifting my leg before executing the kick but I

don't feel a burn..Oh and of course I am holding my abs..but I don't feel a

burn in my butt area..any suggestions of me doing something wrong or??

Hi Kathy,

It sounds like your form is correct. I usually start feeling the

burn by the end of the 2nd set into the 3rd set of kicks.

Ann Marie - who's not sure what else you're doing/not doing

Kathy,

Your knee and foot should be parallel to the floor and they

should both be at the same level. Then you execute the kick. Make

sure you lift the knee up first and then kick out. It may be that

you aren't lifting the knee high enough to feel the burn. Of course,

the height of the knee and foot comes when you gain better control of

your

balance. Don't try to go higher if you aren't yet comfortable with

holding your balance! I know I don't feel the burn as much when I do

the lower kicks! I hope that made sense :) If not, let me know and

I'll try to explain it a different way!
