Guest guest
Dear Tara, I'm so sorry that you have been treated so poorly by your family. That is what I would call a non-family. There are many times in this world when friends are more family than our blood family. The best you can do it seems to me is just stop thinking of them as family. Then find some people you can trust who will treat you in the way that you deserve to be treated. My family was never that bad to me, but I know I have now, and have had in the past, Christian women friends who are more family to me than my own sister. She and I get on better now but it has not always been so. She owes me a lot of money and I will probably never get it back. But she is in worse circumstances than I am at the time, so I don't say anything. I hope this new year will be much better for you and that you will find peace in spite of all the chaos that you have been experiencing for years. God bless, Ann Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Dear Ann, I, too have some friends who are more family to me than my own biological family. They stepped in to have me stay with them when my mommy was having her by-pass surgery. They were there here in Vancouver when we needed help. Since we moved to Vancouver, BC in March 1992 we have been to Christmas and Thanksgiving with them almost every single year (a couple of years skipped) and I've always had the most wonderful time there. People are open and friendly and they are always opening up a door for a stranger during the holidays - an extra plate for the person who is really in need during the holidays. They may not have much, but they are always sharing what they have with others. Thank you for your kind words - they really mean a lot to me.
