Guest guest
Hi - welcome. Can you expound a little on what this iron overload disorder and the hemochromatosis is? I have heavy metal poisoning, but iron was low if anything. Thanks. Jeanie Hi everybody Hi,My name's Raenell. I'm in TX, and was diagnosed in December 1997. I believethat I've got a pretty mild case of FMS because for the most part I am able towork full timeand haven't been disabled by it. I take Effexor and Pamelor, which effectively control it for me. I've learned to listen to my body when Iget the early signs of "shutdown". If I pay attention, I've found that I cankeep the down time to a minimum. I have also just been turned on to"hemochromatosis" or "Iron Overload Disorder", which seems to be much moreprevalent than originally thought and seems to be related to FMS, chronicfatigue, and other chronic disorders. Just a head's up for ya'll...I'm stillchecking out the information I've come across online. I guess that's all fornow....ByeRaenell____________________________________________________________________Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.------------------------------------------------------------------------Now the best and coolest websites come right to you based on your unique interests. eTour.com is surfing without searching. Guest guest
Sharon, I am going to college right now and am only taking 6 hrs, but I work full time, am a church choir director, and have a5 yr old AS/ ADHD son, a 7 yr old ADHD son, and an AS/Bipolar/OCD husband. I don't think I could handle more than six with everything else,(or I'd end up bipolar...lol) but I do wish I could quit work and go to school full time...I only have about 36 hrs. left to finishing my degree at UA. This going part time is so drug out, but it'll be worth it in the long run.....what is your major?? Hi Everybody For those of us who have gone to college-- I am carrying 22 credithours, the equivalent here in the US to almost a double full-time loadof courses. This means that I have been away doing homework, something that I amoften a bit slow at.I hope that it's OK to say that I missed y'all (Alabama talk). Thisgroup means a lot to me-- when I start to lose it emotionally, I am sograteful for the dialogue that is shared here. Thanks for being here everybody!Sharon --still sideways and addicted to the same old AS/NT arguements Looking for last minute shopping deals? If you have time to make friends in between, I hope you find some excellent ones! College is a terrific place to meet people- these were some of the most pleasant years of my life! Don't study too hard (as if you can avoid it!), enkerem77 wrote: For those of us who have gone to college-- I am carrying 22 credithours, the equivalent here in the US to almost a double full-time loadof courses. This means that I have been away doing homework, something that I amoften a bit slow at.I hope that it's OK to say that I missed y'all (Alabama talk). Guest guest
I rhink people are crazy taking that many hours. The most I ever took in one semester here in the States was 15. I thought that was too much for me as well. However, that was my best semester, grade point wise. I don't see how it is possible for people to carry more than 15 hours and have any aspect of a social life. For financial aid purposes (when I was in college anyway here in the States), any hours dropped after enrolling in college classes count against the amount of hours one can take which are eligible for financial aid purposes. Just be careful you don't enroll in too many classes and then start deciding to drop a few too many during each semester. BTW, I was married at the time, so my only friends were in the adult/non- traditional student association. I didn't associate much with the traditionally aged students. I figured none of them were ever serious about their classes and were only thinking of Thursday nights of getting drunk all the time and going to Harry's Chocolate Shop just off the Purdue campus. Harry's wasn't really a chocolate shop. Just a nice little coverup for the local " watering hole " for students to start their weekends early. > > For those of us who have gone to college-- I am carrying 22 credit > hours, the equivalent here in the US to almost a double full-time load > of courses. > > This means that I have been away doing homework, something that I am > often a bit slow at. > > I hope that it's OK to say that I missed y'all (Alabama talk).
