Guest guest
Hi , I had 2 abnormal paps in 6 months and got my very first flare up of EN one week after a colposcopy ( that is an invasive proceedure that looks at your cervix and also takes a biopsy - horrible I know) and I was thinking that this abnormal pap could have caused my flare up... But then my colposcopy came back as normal and I have also had another follow up that was normal. Looks like the infection had been and gone already.I don't think it had anything to do with it. I have been well for 2 or 3 months now and it still bugs me that I never found a cause of my EN. I am starting to slowly accept it and just hope it never finds me again! Our group has created an EN Support Website which has the list of EN triggers. We continually add to this list. > Love, > > idio. Guest guest
I have had EN going on 3yrs now the 1st 9 months was hell... I was affected in both legs but worse in my right. I still have problems mostly with the right leg and I do find new bumps and pain when my stress is high. Not every day stress, its usually stress over a certain situation. I do find it hard to exercise when I have energy. I feel extremely tired most of the time. I really think once you have a injured spot from EN you are definitely more sensitive in those areas and when stressed that is where you feel the pain. I do wonder if anyone else finds it painful after shaving your legs and the hair starts to grow back. (I know silly question) Just curious. EN TriggersHi to all the newbies, and Everyone, Here from our EN Group website is our list of EN Triggers:http://www.geocitie s.com/erythema_ nodosum/en_ triggers/ index.htm I find it interesting that so many seem to think they know their trigger, but are still unable to treat their EN effectively. The EN literature says that when the EN trigger is addressed properly the EN disappears, often never to return. But we seem to have quite a few members who don't find this to be the case. So either they do not know the correct EN trigger or else something else is going on. I personally feel that EN may be triggered without specific cause if the tissue has been previously damaged from EN episodes or other injury. This is from my own subjective experience of having EN for 40 yrs. One leg is perfectly normal, but the one that was most affected and which suffered the most EN outbreaks still is the one that gets EN from nothing so much as excessive standing or other stressors. Does anyone notice this? Love, idio. EN '
