Guest guest
Everyone, Please let me know if discussions of alternative medicines are out of favor for this support group. I am quite keen on them. If most of you are offended because you write them off as "parlor games" and placebos, please let me know and I won't post anything more in this vein. Those who are interested can contact me at my personal yahoo email address and I'll communicate with you separately. Thanks, TinaMaureen Frostick wrote: Yes , the bit you said about modern medicine not doing us ahuge amount of favours either was my thinking about giving thehomeopathy a try. I guess I feel I should give everything a try onceand then make my mind up. I wasn't that impressed with the reikieither to be honest, but I did have a horrific headache that day andfound it very difficult to relax. I'd like to try reflexology once mybank balance recovers.Best wishesMo>> Hi Mo,> Yes, according to he currency converter> > http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi> > 60 British pounds = about $US 118.00, quite a it for a placebo pills. > However, part of the placebo effect is believing you will get value> and most of us feel we get value when we pay a lot. > > My chiropractor used to do the AK muscle testing and prescribe> homeopathy. > > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homeopathy> > but I can't say I ever felt any difference from taking them. Guest guest
Hi Tina, I am interested in exploring alternative treatments/medicines also. I hope we do discuss that here. Thanks, Vicki --- Tina Web- wrote: > Everyone, > Please let me know if discussions of alternative > medicines are out of favor for this support group. I > am quite keen on them. Guest guest
Hi Tina, I have nothing against discussing any sort of treatment for EN. I only speak from my own experience and opinion. To quote myself <<In my opinion it is nothing more than a parlor trick. But if you believe it, the " magic pills " will act as a placebo and the placebo effect can be quite amazing.>> I also gave a link about AK. This group has always been a place where members may voice their own opinion re treatments. Anyone who is not interested in any conversation may delete it. So you see, I was only giving my own opinion and I would never be disrespectful of anyones opinion even if it differed from mine. Name calling is not tolerated but discussion is encouraged. The difference is I may give my opinion about a treatment, but no one, me included, may say anything disparaging about you for endorsing the treatment. I don't expect anyone to agree with everything I say. We all need to think for ourselves. Love, idio. EN '
