Guest guest
Dear Group,Gee, it's quiet here today. Must be St. 's Day or something. Just so everyone has something to read, I am posting a couple poems. I wrote "Waking Up Happy" and my girlfriend Lynne wrote "Waking Up Crappy", and then I added a couple stanzas to her poem.I hope you enjoy them.Love,Waking Up Happy©By Strecker 3/14/08While juggling problems Some large and some smallI sometimes wake up happyfor no reason at all.My heart feels lighter. My step has a spring.Like a fledgling sparrowwhose discovered its wings. And then I noticethat the roses have bloomedfor the buds in the vasefill the room with perfume. A fragrance so sweetit can transforms my mood, makes me wake up so happyand feel so renewed.Waking Up Crappy© By Lynne Merrill and Strecker 3/17/08 Woke up this morning with Friskies in my hair. Regurgitation is just the cat's word for "share." Waking up happy is not what I do. Got tangled in the sheets and I fell outta the bed Broke my eyeglasses, got a knot on my head. Waking up happy would be something new.One leg was swelled up, my neck felt so bad. Could not find one shoe, which was making me mad. Waking up happy is long overdue. When I got to my feet I tripped over the cat. Did a half gainor and near broke my back. Not exactly happy, but I did find my shoe.
