I'd provided that earlier, on this List. Perhaps before your time. Unstrange Minds: Remapping the World of Autism. Roy Grinker. Basic Books (January 1, 2007). ISBN-10: 0465027636 ISBN-13: 978-0465027637 Roy Grinker is Professor of Anthropology and the Human Sciences at The Washington University. His young daughter is autistic. Eminently *readable*; but scholarly too. Inter alia, even Time magazine thought it was an Important Book and reviewed it last year. > > > > >> >>>Looks like I might have just found my voice in the greater >>>Chattanooga (Tennessee) community. Go here for a dozen and more other reviews: http://www.unstrange.com/grinker_reviews.html NB: In their own right, some of those reviews are as fascinating and informative as Grinker's book. > >> >>>I appreciate your suggesting that I read up on Grinker... however an >>>academic citation would be even more helpful please (APA/MLA, [ snip ] >>Unstrange Minds: Remapping the World of Autism. >>Roy Grinker. >>Basic Books (January 1, 2007). >> ISBN-10: 0465027636 >> ISBN-13: 978-0465027637 [ snip ] - Bill, 75, AS; ...bookworm -- WD " Bill " Loughman - Berkeley, California USA http://home.earthlink.net/~wdloughman/wdl.htm
