Jeff,

I am not an expert by any means, but I did check out your page, and it is quite impressive looking. I am sure you will get some 'hits' in a matter of time. I just hope it is not too long before they find you. Try the online job search places.

Good luck and a good job will come around.

rebecca, you can write me anytime. not pestering at all. so please do? i am so happy about your writing. i bet you are very good. i take some pride (because i have had lots of positive feedback) on a web page i started and i refer to it on my resume. anyone interested can go have a peek. i heard this is the latest thing to do, and actually, it got me the last job. my first day at ford they looked at me and sad, "your web page....WOW!" i ain't much of a writer and believe me i spend a lot of time on it. trying to write a series in there about injection molding. you will see my "introduction" is all that is complete. here is the url: http://the5berks.wordpress.com/thanks for your well wishes and your kind words. they mean a lot to me. you are a very special person.i took some pics of my leg today, so i am going right now to post them in the groups photos section. the old pg scar is a good "reference point". not a lot to see because it is mostly just hot and red, but thought pics might be nice ;)....ugh.so when you get an opportunity, visit my web page and give me some constructive feedback, ideas, whatever.btw, how is "M"?loves ya,jeff,pg,cd> > Subject: Update on Me, mostly On Topic (unfortunately)> To: erythema_nodosum_Group > Date: Saturday, August 2, 2008, 3:24 PM> > hi rebecca and group,> > not on much, but i check everyday. i got an agency job working for > ford powertrain right after memorial day. 3 days after starting, > mark fields (one of fords new brain child ceos) put out a ford mass e-> mail stating that by aug 1st 15% salary cuts including agency. well, > all agency ppl ended up out. my last day was july 25th. i was there > 9 weeks. so here i am back on unemployment with 4 weeks left. they > did just pass the 13 weeks extension, so at least "maybe" we will be > able to eat.........but..............depends, more bad news:> > and i thought this would never happen to me (u get complacent > sometimes, ya know?). with all the screwing around with health > insurance cos, blue cross to the new one, then they took 6 weeks to > get the basic info to me, i had postponed my remicade infusion. i > was due june 18th. finally mid july i got my member number with the > new insurance co (not bc/bs) and found out my cd and pg will not be > excluded, not an issue. thats the good news. i went and started > appling via remicade-remistart and the patient access network > foundation to help get copays and deducts assistance. i have the > deduct assistance, waiting on the co-pay.> > so now, i am, well.....about 6 weeks late with my remicade. a week > ago i was out in the back yard and tripped on the water well pipe > head. smacked my bad leg, but plenty above the old pg scar. luckily > i didn't hit the knee or i think it would have broken. well my whole > leg as been hurty, the wound from smacking it on the pipe is about > half way healed, no problem, BUT from that point down to my old pg > scare (about 8 inches), it is red, hot and really hurts. this > started the nite before last. has gotten worse since. i am > deducting that with the combo of no remicade and futher trama to my > leg, the main point of pain is right on the top edge of the old pg > scar, where these is plenty of flesh.> > so i am putting protopic on it and i upped my mtx dose to 15mgs today > (50% increase). and since the financial helps are reimbursements and > my apps are in, one is approved, i am going to call the hospital > monday am and try to get a chair.> > honest to God group, i don't think i can live through what i lived > through before. this has really got my head spinning. i have the > job issue, and btw, the job market is even worse now then 3 months > ago), almost all of my unemployment goes to pay cobra, and the > process of changing over in mid stream has taken way to long. > besides that, the financial help don't pay it all, but i am hopeful > that over 1/2 of the nearly $3,000 will be covered by them so i can > weather this storm.> > i know rebecca and many ppl in this group know me and like to hear > how things are going. i know many ppl here care about me. i hate to > ramble with all this bad news, but anything, anyone can do in this > group, even if its words of encouragement, i will take at this point.> > as the next few days progress, i am hopeful that i can turn, what > appears to be a new pg sore, subside and not go flow blown. idk. > the next 7 days or so well tell. i will write again in about a week > and let you know how things are progressing (and if our prayers are > getting answered).> > you'll be good and take care,> jeff,> pg,> cd> > > ------------------------------------> Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? great email ! I was thinking along the same lines. I didn't look over the whole entire site, but what I say looked pretty darn impressive. Someone out there has got to see this.

Hi Jeff,I visited your website late last night and both Steve and I gave it agood looking over. He feels like he knows you since I talk about you--you ARE one of the stars of our EN group and I've known you sincethe group was founded 5 yrs ago. We both are very impressed with the website. It is first of all veryeasy to negotiate and readable. You have left no detail out, and Ilove the way you have incorporated the awards and the amount of moneyyou have saved employers highlighted. So many resumes are a lot offancy words that sound impressive but where is the backup? YOU havethat backup to show exactly what you have done and the acknowledgmentyou received for it. Steve and I were discussing how horrible our economy was when a personof your ability and experience has to look so hard to find work. It'sbecause the auto industry in America is disappearing. The pride ofAmerica going down the tubes. Can you use your skills in other thanthe Auto industry? You certainly are a leader AND team player, withthe ability to work with customers to make them happy. These skillsare going to be sought after in other industries too. I would look athigh tech manufacturing in the public sector that is not necessarilyin the auto industry. I know those are drying up in America too. Whatabout farm machinery, air plane mfg? fire engine mfg--which may be aspecialty as well as RV mfg--although with gas prices that too may bein a slump. It's not you, it's the lousy economy. If any ideas come tomind, I'll let you know.Love,idio. EN '68 Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Read reviews on AOL Autos.

THANK YOU, I DID GET YOUR E-MAIL. CAN YOU TELL ME IF YOUR EN IS RELATED TO ANY OTHER DISEASES? KAT Strecker wrote: Hi Kat,I am sending you this email to see if you are getting your emailsproperly. I can tell you that due to lack of EN research and the general lack ofeven our own members making contributions to our EN Research fundthrough the National Org. for Rare Disorders (NORD)http://www.geocities.com/erythema_nodosum/donate/index.htmmany of our questions go unanswered....although it seems we all havequestions. Hopefully someone in our very large group will answer your questionsor at least give you their own experience with the concurrentdisorders you are dealing with.Love, isiopathic EN '68>> i have sent several messages on this site, but have never gotten a > response. i am doing this as a test to see if i get it back. i > started out with lupus, then raynauds, then neuropathy, then bone > infarctions and now en> > KatBE BLESSED, KATHY

Kat,

I don't believe seeing your post. Someone else on here had Raynauds, April I believe. My sister had this, and her cig smoking made it worse, but wouldn't/couldn't quit until her stroke. I am very sorry to hear of your other ailments. They are all adding up and taking its toll on you, both body and soul.

Good luck and could you repost? I for one do not get on here every day, and I belong to several groups, and have over 100 emails a day, and do not get around to all of them as quickly as I'd like to.

Good luck and look forward to chatting with you in the future.

Hi ,Ive had EN for almost 6 weeks now and I was put on Predisone last week and within a couple of days I saw a huge difference and i am pretty much pain free now (my ankle still aches abit)! up until then the pain was unbearable. I know some people have experienced side effects taking this steroid but up to now i seem to be fine. If nothing else works maybe you should give them ago.All the best,Sian

Sian,

I did pretty well on Pred for the first 7 days of 60 mg a day. By the end of the first week, I was getting a fat neck, Extremely moody (OK, my family would use the "B" word). I hated the way I felt. I was beginning the taper to 40 mg a day, and had to excel the drop. Fuzzy vision, "Hulk" type anger, I was a mess. I hope and pray you have continued success.

Hi mary,EN is very hard to deal with, i must admit i did get very low at one point, with constant pain and no one fully understanding what i was feeling i felt on my own. Luckily my doctor seems to be quite fascinated by the condition and i was diagnosed with EN on my first visit which was good. I went back to the doctors yesterday and as i am responding well to the steroids i have a further 4 weeks on them reducing them by one each week, i am currently on 5 a day. He did say that it may come back when i have completely come off them but fingers x'd they wont!! I didnt realised that EN can be a re-occurring condition until i joined the group but as they seem to be linking mine with the bronchitis i had back in may im hoping it wont return.Take care,Sian :)
