Remember, there are CEC's available for this presentation. Please read below and see attachment: Program Title: Utilizing an art therapy group to address the impact of parental cancer on children: A pilot outreach between Westchester Art Therapy Association and Gilda’s Club Excerpts from Marilyn Wald’s comments about her work made possible by the WATA 2007 Community Outreach Grant providing six sessions at the Gilda’s Club Westchester Noogieland Program for children impacted by cancer in the family: “I believe this grant made a lasting difference in the healing of these vulnerable children. On a personal note I learned a lot about working with a mixed group of children (children who have lost a parent to cancer and children with a parent who is seriously ill). It has been a challenging job but I have learned a lot about meeting the different needs of these children in one group. I learned it was possible to do through the art.†Supercharge your AIM.
