The article has a message board attached to show the reaction. Enjoy. The segment is online at their website. Their message board shows how divided our community is over a search for a cure. I work for a Tech company where many consider themselves computer or tech geeks. The only one that ever mention AS is me in passing or others that have a child or family member. That is just the way it is. We are a mixed bag of nuts. The company partnered me with a gal that just joined and in the beginning I was wondering WHY they thought I was a good match? Everyone agrees she is simply brilliant and a unique person. I just love her as we are so different and share common ground and both are open minded. She is also funny. She said I worked for Sony for 3 years and it was geek heaven as she tested video games for possible flaws. Lol She has been best friends with a girlfriend from High School for years. She is gay. Their lives took different paths. Brie married and had 3 kids. The marriage was abusive. She had had a bi-sexual relationship before . The years go by and they are now together. She loves these kids and considers them hers. They are 2, 4 and 6. Two girls and the middle son is scheduled to be evaluated for autism. Brie and the kids meet her for lunch the other day. She is gorgeous with 3 beautiful kids. looks like she is a biker mom. Lol She was telling me today Brie liked me as she felt I had calming energy. Lol She is also a sword fighter among a zillion other things. We were talking about faith and free will today and maybe that is the cornerstone to this debate of cure vs. non cure? No one wants to be told what THEY should or should not do? It is OUR personal journey to the mountain. Maybe it is that simple. Support a cure or neurodiversity? Maybe we mess up whenever we impose our thoughts on others and bash them when they don't agree? FREE WILL for all and in my humble opinion, I believe that is what is missing?? It does not have to be my way or the Highway. Why can't we choose the path that is right for US? Why do we have to make a choice in this debate? This is a debate of two sides that are polar opposite attracting media attention over and over again.... No 2 are alike, how can they think they speak for ALL? That is what I am trying to understand?
