The

condition above is erythema nodosum. There is a very large differential

diagnosis for erythema nodusum. It has been associated with drug

reactions including reactions to antibiotics, bromides, oral

contraceptives, salicylates and codeine. It has been associated with

viral infections, bacterial infections including tuberculosis and

fungal infections including cocidiomycosis. It has also been associated

with inflammatory bowel disease.From:http://www.usc.edu/student-affairs/Health_Center/adolhealth/content/b4derm6.html Note this is a link about skin conditions in young people as EN typically affects younger women. Mine hit me first at age 21 and I am 60 now.Love, idiopathic EN '68
