Your name and age: Elaine Germani, 282. Your location: Malta (Europe)3. Your email address: elainegermani@...4. Your Yahoo ID: illyna805. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group. Feeling sick with flu like symptoms, throat infections and fever from the end of April, was always tired with pains and aches in joints. Two weeks ago red spots appeard on my joints mainly wrists, elbows, knees and ankles. Spots were very painful, and warm to touch. Effected joints were swollen and very painful. Couldn't walk because of stiffness in joints and swelling. Was recovered in hospital and underwent lots of blood tests, throat swab and chest X-ray. Diagnosed with erythema nodosum, but still waiting for results to identify the cause. Given antibiotics and anti-inflammatories and advised to rest in bed. Feeling better now, spots have flattened out and become darker in colour, no fever. Although I am able to walk and move around I still experience joint pains and tiredness for most parts of the day. 6. List any other health conditions.not that I know of 7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness:Antibiotic (Augmentin) - to target any underlying infection...cannot tell if it was effective or not because infection was not identified in throat swab.Anti-inflammatory (Voltaren) - it is effective as a painkiller 8.
