Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.Started with small lumps in my shins in Sept 2007 and the gradually go larger in increased in number all over my lower extremities from my ankles to my knees, both front and back. Eventually, they became so painful and were very warm to the touch. They started to "heal" in April and have slowing gotten better. I had a biopsy done to confirm EN versus lupus panniculitis, and will get the results tomorrow.6. List any other health conditions.Hypoactive thyroid . . . diabetes mellitus . . . "strong suspicion of Lupus" according to my rheumatologist . . . waiting to rule out autoimmune hepatitis.7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness:1) Indomethacin, which was ineffective.2) Potassium iodide, but because of the hypothyroidism I could only have a small dose and it appeared ineffective.3) Next, my rheumatologist started me on prednisone 20 mg a day and hydroxychloriquine. I'm continued on prednisone until they are healed and told that I will probably have to stay on hydroxychloriquine long-term to prevent further episodes. 8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? September 20079. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG? 9 months.10. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect?
