Guest guest
I don't know about the longest known case, but my old rheumatologist showed me a paper written by a doctor in Spain that had cured an 85 year old woman of EN using Humira. She had had idiopathic EN with the associated joint pain for at least 60 years. Could you imagine? I've been dealing with it non-stop for 10 months-- 60 years sounds like hell!! Unfortunately, most insurance companies won't pay to put a patient on Humira (adalimumab, an anti-TNF-alpha agent) for EN, but I'm not sure I'd want to go on it unless it was a sure cure... The Frist 9months were real bad I was on bed rest for a month and even in the hospital for a week due to the pain and swelling. Now I still get some swelling and most of the time I have a constant pain that I live with. Some days better then others. The reason I write this is I always forget to drink water as silly as it sounds... Thanks for the email. Im going to drink more water and I hope it helps some. > > Does EN ever go away for good? > Does anyone know how far back EN goes? One we haven't had before that I can recall. > I don't know if it will help, but I once became absolutely lame. The bottom of my feet were so painful and inflexible I could hardly walk without help. My chiropractor took a look at me and told me to start drinking a lot of water. I thought he was nuts. Anyway I took his advice and in a couple days my feet felt fine. I was simply amazed. So you might be dehydrated and relief can be as easy as getting re-hydrated. > Happy Weekend Everyone! > Love, > > Idio.
