Hi Mo,

As an animal love myself I appreciate your concern re animal testing.

Rest assured, that in the past approx 95 yrs. animals have not been

used in EN research, and yes, you are correct that there is no animal

on earth that displays EN so there is no need to ever use animals in

EN research.

However about 100 yrs. ago I did find that a researcher injected a

animals [rabbits and guenea pigs] with the stuff from EN nodules.

This was done when the experimenter was trying to see if the nodes

were related to diphtheria infections and it was found that yes, some

animals got ill and died same as the humans.

This is the only reference I can find to animal EN experimentation and

was done at the time when diphtheria was a serious infectious disease

that was killing off people, and many children, in America.

I was not aware of this before, so I thank you for bringing to our

attention that EN once was considered to be a very dangerous

infectious disease, but it was the trigger that was killing off the

victims, diphtheria, not EN itself. We can say that EN helped to

isolate the diphtheria and was in that way a boon to mankind.

This was done 95 yrs ago and I hope you will not hold it against

present day researchers. It was a very different world then and with

so many dying of diphtheria researchers were desperate to isolate the

cause.

Love,

idio. EN '68
