Your nodules sound horrible! How can you work like that? Welcome to our Friendly Erythema Nodosum Group!Love,Chronic Idiopathic EN since 1968*********Bianca Bonaguro's Case History7/6/081. Your name and age: Bianca Bonaguro, 242. Your location: Maple, Ontario, Canada3. Your email address: korn_girl90@... 4. Your Yahoo ID: bonkarella@...5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group:I get one very large (2 inches wide, 3 inches high) red bump on my lower left shin, which is extremely inflamed and feels bruised. It appears as if I have a growth on my leg. After about 3 weeks it begins to turn from red to brown, then to black and appears as a large smooth bruise on my shin. It is painful to move my leg pretty much at all even when lying in bed, if I turn my leg it hurts. At the same time I get smaller ones (>1 inch to 2 inches in diameter) on my right kneecap, usually 3 or 4 of them at once. They also feel like bruises but are not nearly as painful as the one on my shin. As I am a hairdresser it makes it very difficult to work at times. Was recently diagnosed after I had developed a 4 inch wide, 5 inch high nodule and my doctor thought I had a bone infection. The ER doctor was the one that told me about EN and said that this is what I have.6. List any other health conditions"I have endometriosis and now that I have researched EN, I believe I also have Crohn's.7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their effectiveness: I do not take any medications regularly but have noticed that anti-inflammatory medication helps reduce a bit of the pain temporarily. I also elevate the leg occasionally, but notice the most effective relief comes from an ice pack on my shin.8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? I was diagnosed in June 2008.9. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG? I have had it for over 3 years but only now has it grown and become uncomfortable.10. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect? Of course.11. Do you agree to post NO advertisements for any products or services? I do.12. How did you find this Group? (Google, Yahoo, Ask Jeeves Search, referral from another group or person etc.) Yahoo Answers.Thank you so much! Bianca
