Guest guest
Hi, This is my first post although I have spent some hours reading about your experiences. I think it's really useful to read about other anxiety sufferer's thoughts and questions while working with the books. To introduce myself, I am a 30 year old guy living in Gothemburg, Sweden. I have had anxiety issues since my early twenties, my main problem is panic disorder. I have read tons of litterature, but ACT really speaks to me at another level, I really think this is doable! I have read both 's and 's books and now I would like to compress all this info into just a few words which I can rely on. Here are the ones I came up with, please comment and add new ones! I want to use these words as " reminders " ... 1. Willingness Am I really willing to feel anxiety and pain? 2. Acceptance I can stop fighting and accept myself instead. 3. My Values and My Goals Is what I am doing presently according to my own values and goals? 4. Problem Solving Machine The thoughts I think comes from the machine, I thank it and focuses on what I am doing. 5. Everybody Suffers Even he/she who seems so successful hurts, we are all humans. 6. The Present What's happening right here? cheers! Fredrik
