Guest guest
Hi, I have been thinking, is 'cynicism' something which you can identify as an ACT value? Having been someone who was drawn into at least a couple of half-baked ideas in the past (eg. anyone who doesn't care much about animal rights is a monster, if you don't develop a muscular physique you're not a man), I see it as something I wish I'd had more of as a younger man! I suppose a side-note to this would be the fact that the word " values " brings up for me stuff that a person is " supposed to " care about, eg. starvation in Africa, which if I'm honest I don't really care about. Note: Whereas cynicism could be seen as possibly something that would limit your life, I think it helps with working out what u as an individual care about, and less likely to be guilted into things. We're all just carbon-based replicators, we don't have to try and save the world!
