Thank you , great post.

[sPAM] the funny side of an earthquake...

....I'm in Los Angeles and I have to admit that the funny side of an earthquake is how you get to finally see other people experience dirty anxiety.

That is to say, the "clean" anxiety happens during and right after the quake, when you're not sure if the building is safe or everyone is okay.

Once that's established (here it took about 15 minutes), I found it kind of affirming and amusing to see what happened next.

The "dirty" part happens when you watch people unable to resume their day... my boss literally ran out of the office and isn't coming back. And half the company went with him, so traumatized over an earthquake where nothing...bad...happened...to...anyone.

I think about yesterday, how I had anxiety so bad my chest was compressed and my limbs were numb and I walked into staff meetings like that and I worked on projects like that... and I understand how anxiety is for people who only get it from earthquakes or something - when it doesn't happen that often, it really does freak you out. And thanks to ACT, it happens so often to me now that I'm getting better at observing it... from an amused distance (sometimes), just like I am observing my co-workers, with compassion and a little amusement.

Anyway, just couldn't help feeling a little more part of the world today, as you all know, suffering from anxiety can be extremely isolating, and other people's impatience doesn't help.

Talk to you all later,
