Guest guest
Hi... I wanted to share a snippet from a magazine on Grape Seed extract, I thought it was interesting... Grape Seed Extract: Exceedingly Beneficial " Grapeseed extract has developed a reputation as disease-fighter. Researchers from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska found that a form of grapeseed extract called ActiVin, outperformed vitamins C and E (and beta-carotene as well) in fighting free radicals, unstable molecules thought to be at least partially responsible for disorders ranging from Alzheimer's to cancer to cardiovascular woes (Toxicology 2000; 148 (2-3):187-97). Part of the secret: oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs), natural substances that occur in many plants. Since then, the Creighton team has done more research on these antioxidant properties. Investigator Debasis Ragchi stated, " We believe grapeseed extract will play an increasing important role in overall health.
