Guest guest
Dear Annie, Kabooms is right off 595, so if you're anywhere near the Sawgrass Expressway it's not a bad ride at all (I live in Coral Springs and make the trip frequently). At this time, this is the only roller skating program ASA Broward has. You may want to contact your local skating rink and inquire if they would be interested in a similar program. In the northern part of Broward, there are also activities sponsored by the Town of Coral Springs, which I believe are open to all, such as Challenger Bowling on Wednesdays. Challenger Baseball has teams from both Coral Springs and Tamarac, among others, and will start up again in February. I have contact info for this if anyone is interested. Regards, Re: Skating for Individuals with Autism and Related Disabilities I am new to your " email " List and support group. Are there any more activites like this one, further North? Such in the upper Broward, South Palm area? Davie is quite a drive!! thanks for the info!~Annie > Join us every Sunday for Rollerskating at Kabooms in Davie > Even if your child cannot skate, you can walk him/her around the ring to get > started. > Time: 10-11AM > Cost: $2 for each child with autism or related disability(for members of the > Autism Society) > $3.50 for family, friends and non-members > Pay each week. > > See you there!!! > > Call Herskowitz for more information
