RE: annual CPR training

I have a question that I am trying to answer. Our company policy requires

annual CPR training and the American Heart Association is distributing 2

year cards. My therapists are upset that they have to go back within a

year even though their card has not expired. Does anyone know what the

standard is and who sets this standard? I need information to take to

either the company HR dept to get it changed or to the therapists to show

documentation that annual training is a requirement. I would appreciate

any input or information! P.S. We are a free standing Medicare

certified Outpatient clinic (not a CORF).

THANKS!
