<off the record> We have a wonderful computer program that produces

marvelous standardized IEPs <back on the record, tongue out of cheek>

One of the Goal areas that we have in our computerized planning for IEPs

is that of " socialization. " With Kayla, one of our goals is to begin working

towards having Kayla learn to interact with peers in an appropriate manner.

Perhaps this person needs to hear the words " appropriate manner " rather than

" positively. "

<tongue back in cheek> it seems like this district person must not think

" friendship " is an appropriate goal because she didin't achieve it during her

school experiences. </tongue in cheek>
