Guest guest
Hi Cola, I am a lurker, but I noticed you were looking for a recipe of the wendies oriental salad, and I have one, so I thought I'd post it for you. I think it is the mandarin orange chicken one you mean, and I found this recipe on a site a few weeks ago. They post a new recipe every week and then the old one is pulled down, so this ones not up there anymore, I don't think so anyway. I remember how happy I was when I found it though, because I love that salad. And I have made this recipe a few times already, and to me it tastes EXACTLY like the one at wendy's. I will post the recipe as it was on the site, I have cut down abit on the corn syrup and oil when I made it and used splenda instead of the sugar, and it was very good too. Anyway, here it is. Enjoy Fran Top Secret Recipes version of 's® Garden SensationsT Mandarin Chicken Salad by Todd Wilbur Of the four salads on 's new " Garden Sensations " menu, this is the one that draws all the cloning requests. It's the sesame dressing that everyone's nuts about. The clone below gives you a nice 1 1/2 cups of the tasty stuff so it'll fit perfectly into a standard dressing cruet. Once you've got your dressing made, building the rest of the salad is a breeze. Sesame Dressing 1/2 cup corn syrup 3 tablespoons white distilled vinegar 2 tablespoons pineapple juice 4 teaspoons granulated sugar 1 tablespoon light brown sugar 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon paprika dash garlic powder dash ground black pepper 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds 4 chicken breast fillets 1 large head iceberg lettuce, chopped 4 cups red leaf lettuce, chopped 1 1/3 cups canned mandarin orange wedges 1 cup rice noodles 1 cup roasted sliced almonds 1. Prepare dressing by combining all dressing ingredients except vegetable oil and sesame seeds in a blender on high speed. Slowly add oil to mixture (to create an emulsion). Add sesame seeds and blend for just a couple seconds. Pour dressing into a covered container (such as a dressing cruet) and chill until needed. 2. Rub each chicken breast fillet with oil, then lightly salt and pepper each piece. Grill on medium/high heat until done. Chill chicken breasts in refrigerator until cold. 3. When chicken is cold, build each salad by first arranging about 4 cups of iceberg lettuce in the bottom of a large salad bowl or on a plate. 4. Arrange a cup of red leaf lettuce on the iceberg lettuce. 5. Dice each chicken breast into bite-size pieces and sprinkle the pieces from each one over each salad. 6. Arrange about 1/3 cup of mandarin orange wedges on each salad. 7. Next, sprinkle about 1/4 cup of rice noodles and 1/4 cup of roasted sliced almonds on top of each salad. 8. Add desired amount of sesame dressing and serve. Makes 4 large salads. Guest guest
OMG! Fran! thankyou so very much!! i will definately give the recipe a go! what a huge help you have been because yes that is one of the salads that ive been trying to copy. the only sesame/oriental dressing i can find here is in a kit (et tu caesar makes it -- i dont know if you get their products where you are) and it tastes almost exactly like wendy's dressing -- however i dont want to buy the kit each time. i had better get my butt over to top-secret recipes and see what other goodies they have there.... i have made their orange julius recipe in the past and it is also fabulous! *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada RE: > I am a lurker, but I noticed you were looking for a recipe of the > wendies oriental salad, and I have one, so I thought I'd post it > for you. Guest guest
Hi , I found the same to be true. Eating has a whole new meaning to me now. My stomach just can't hold what it used to. I been doing Tae Bo for almost 7 months now. And I have had great unbelievable results. I still eat whatever I want, but I find myself wanting much less. I no longer have a problem with overeating. I just do not want it and I cannot hold it. This is a blessing from heaven. My desire for food changed after about two weeks of Tae Bo and it has continued for over 6 months, yours probably will too. I guess we should just sit back and behold the beauty of Tae Bo while we Enjoy the many benefits that Tae Bo offers. Eating Hi Tae Bo Friends, With working out and trying to eat even healthier, I've discovered something very interesting. I can't even very much anymore without feeling full. It is bizarre, but very good! I hope it continues! The Everyday Speedy Angel " ...losing is not always a disaster. If you know how to lose, you can become a great champion.
