Where did you get script filled and what filler is being used? Is the pharmacy using Pure Naltrexone Powder or crushing the ReVia Naltrexone pills? Thanks for the response. Just curious, are you speaking from experience? DCR >
Guest guest
I quit Rebif on a Monday and started LDN on Thursday only because I had to wait for prescription to be filled. Dr. B knew this and said it was fine ..no waiting is necessary. Good luck to your wife and welcome her to our world!!!..... There is great support here!! Kiki (PPMS on LDN 2 1/2 yrs..no progression)

July 2003 started 4.5mg LDN with Pure Naltrexone Powder and Lactose filler. MS has been halted dead in its tracks for 2 1/2 years on LDN. I use Cantrell Drug in Little Rock, Arkansas. I'm allergic to Avicel, the filler Skip uses...causes me nausea, headache and near vomiting. Skip uses Pure Naltrexone Powder and so does Irmat in NY(the pharmacy Bihari uses). I have spoken to Cantrell Drug, Irmat and Skip about their naltrexone choice and get the same response from all as to why it is so important to use the pure powder over the crushed naltrexone tablets. You can speak to the pharmacists and they are willing to share this info with you.

With the Naltrexone tablets they have fillers and precise measuring is not 100%. It's okay the way you are doing LDN but if somehow you could find a pharmacist who can get the PNP that'd be best. Only licensed pharmacists can get the PNP.
Guest guest
Thanks Bren! So, the tablets I am using may have too much or too little Naltrexone in them then? If anything too little I'd wager. There is no way of getting complete accuracy unless I get the powder. This seems obvious, but I had overlooked this on my initial boost given by LDN. I think that I had better go the 4.5 route in case the dose's are too low. I'm going to research what is in the fillers? Do we know? Does it contain dairy/gluten because if so it clashes with my Best Bet diet. I will continue crushing the tablets until I can get hold of a pharmacist who can get the PNP. I'm going to see a neurologist in March and will hopefully have translated some of the crucial information into Japanese, but even then my hopes of getting a Dr to look this way is slim. Will try though. Thanks for making me think more about dosage, Bren:) I'm overjoyed to have gotten hold of Revia/LDN in the first place, but one must look for the best possible effects. Best wishes, > > > > Hi Bren > > > > I'm not in the position to speak to the pharmacists you mention (I live in Japan), and your post has made me a little concerned.
