Hi ,

Good to hear from you and thanks for your kind words! I'm sorry that

you had some troubles starting LDN and decided to quit for a while.

But if the side effects get too much it is very understandable.

I'm quite sure though that LDN will have the same effect if you

restart the treatment, because it disappears from the body after a

few hours and it is not addictive. If you decide to restart LDN it is

probably best to start at a low dose like 1,5 or 2mg and gradually

build up until your body is used to it, especially because you say

you are sensitive to medication in general. More is not always

better. Naltrexone only works for ms in low doses and has adverse

effects when the dose is too high. Not everybody can tolerate 4,5 or

even 3,0 mg. Maybe for some people the ideal dose is lower than 3mg.

I'm not sure but it is just a thought.

I don't know if Klonopin will work well in conjunction with LDN, but

I quess you could try. The only problem with narcotics and LDN is

that LDN may prevent the narcotic to its work properly, because the

receptors are partly blocked. But I have experienced that the effect

of alcohol doesn't change in conjunction with LDN while Naltrexone in

a normal dose is used for treating alcohol addiction. Again, just a

thought.

I hope somebody here can give you some tips regarding constipation. I

think there has been a discussion about this recently on this forum,

but I don't remember the details.

, I'm happy to hear that you also experienced some positive

effects of LDN and I hope you can fight the negative ones succesfully!

Hang in there and good luck!

Carolina.

, My understanding from this forum is that you can take LDN with the exception of when you are taking anything that is opiate based. A quick scan on search engines indicates that it is, in fact, an opiate. Wouldn't this then mean that LDN should not be used in conjunction? Anyone to comment? on this forum) have any thoughts about this? thank you and best wishes. lisa.>> hello all. Been on 3mg ldn now for about 1 month.> Still have not noticed any symptom improvement. Hi!

I have a suggestion for leg spasms. Try a bar of bath soap under your sheet next to where you sleep. Don't know why this works. But, my hubby & I been doing this now for about 2 months, and we have no more leg spasms or cramps. Just don't use dove or dial. Anything else is fine. Good luck. God bless...........

Hi , I take klonopin. Also known as cloneazepam in Canada. It's

originally used for seizure disorder but is also used for panic

disorder. It's not a narcotic. It belongs to the family of drugs

benzodiazepines. Like valium, xanax ect.

I have no problem taking ldn with my klonopin

Klonopin is not an opiate. In fact it is used sometimes for opiate

withdrawel.

Hi ,

I too am a new member of this group and I must say I have learned at

lot from the different messages. I have FM, Osteo Arthritis and Osteo

psorsis for the past 20 years. FM was not diagnosed until about 12

years ago. Pain is awful and have tried many many many different types

of healing - accupuncture, IMS, NUCCA, etc. Some treatments did some

good but didn't last. I also take a muscle relaxant (Anti-depressant

-(2) Apo-Imipramine 25mg).and a sleeping Pill - PMS-Zopiclone. Now

the real reason I am writing this is that I have been taking ldn for

the past 5 months starting with low doses and now am taking 4.5 mg

nightly with no side effects at all. i can't believe the change in my

life. I have virtually no pain anywhere. Used to have pains in my

arms, legs, back, neck and could not lift my arms up to dress myself.

For the past 2 months I have been pain free totally and lots of energy

for a lady of 75 years. My husband had a mild stroke in December and I

was able to cope with his sickness and do all the driving and just

kept going with a lot less sleep and still had energy. I just had to

tell my story and tell you that I am ever so grateful to a nature path

doctor here in my city that suggested that I take LDN. Thanks.

Thanks.

Hi Margaret, You sure have alot to contend with! I am a cancer survivor and have ms and hs. Through the years I have learn't alot through the groups I have belonged to. Including this one. There is always more to learn and I hope my brain will hold up. Lol! I think it's so great these support groups evolved. I don't now what I would have done without them. They can be a lifesaver.I'm so glad you are doing so well on the 4.5 dose. I can only hope to do as well when I go up at the end of the month. If it means I will receive a halt in progression that alone is worth everything!I'm sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he is still doing well. It's funny my mom asked if she could take ldn? She is 80 and quite active. I told her sure she just needs to find a doc.Take Care >> Hi ,> I too am a new member of this group and I must say I have learned at > lot from the different messages.
