Wow, Sharon,

You sure do have a lot of of furrie and feathers babies in your house. I have

always loved bunnies. How do the dogs do around them? I don't think my Labador

Retriever would leave a bunny alone and probably not in a good way. I have been

feeding a stay cat who comes in to the garage when its open. Guess it likes the

dog food so I keep a little bowl filled for it.

We are getting new flooring too in the next few weeks. Kids and dogs are very

hard on carpet. A few years ago I would never allow the dogs on the furniture.

Now they sleep wherever they want. When Byron is out of town on business I even

let Taran my big lab sleep with me. He is so nice and soft. I do kick him out

when he starts to snore.

Thanks for sharing

Hi Sharon, I saved this letter as new, because I wanted to take time to read

it. I loved it! I love your managerie of animals. I can't have one much less

a house full.

But, in the living room? What about odors? Rabbits have to be cleaned often

or they can smell pretty bad. I have had as many as thirty rabbits at one

time. Loved them, but they were outside. I understand you are making the cage

beautiful, and I am sure you have a good pan that will be easy to empty, but

there is still that odor. Scrub often is all I can say. Your floors will make

all the difference too, which will be easy to clean, but don't put the cage

next to a wall. They will squirt it often. With all those animals I can see why

you are buying good floors.

Who is Sissy? You speak of her often. I have figured out that Donnie is your

husband, but haven't figured out who Sissy is. It is nice to have someone

that is there to do many thing, like fix a nice cage. That is wonderful.

I sure hope you are having a wonderful time at the seminar.

Love a whole big bunch,

Imogene

hello me fellow animal lovers,

we have decided to update our kitchen living and dining and hall areas of

the house, it has very nasty loking vinyl flooring or very worn carpet, and we

have picked out commerial vinyl floorin which is over 1/4 " thick. it is

shades of blues and made up of not speckles but of rectangles of blues. it is

very

durable. and will survive our dogs and wear and tear. my colors for my

themes in teh kitchen and dining room s snowman and snowfleakes. and the living

room is lighthouses. and the hall way will be donnies marilyn monroe showcase.

the floors will all be the vinyl tiling and i wont have the strips dividig

the room so it will have a continous flow. and now that dad is gone, i can pick

ad choose between all of our combined furniture and get rid of what i dont

want and keep what i do. i have a beautiful entertainment center in solid oak,

heavy but not bulky loooking, sissy is going to polyurethane it for me. and

i have a beautifull burg/rose sofa and matching recliner in like velour, and

it has small stripes in it of country blue and countny green. so it will look

great wih the new flooring. and i have some old cedar lined trunks that

sissy is going to refinish for me i will use one of them as my coffee table.

and

the bird cage described b elow will go in the living room with my 3

cockatiels in it.

i wanted to give you all someupdates about our menagerie.

my hamster peanut passed away but notbefore he got sissys hamster s'mores

pregnant. we dont know why peanut died, he wasn't that old. donnie got me a

chinese dwarf hamster, she looks like a tiny chipmunk with the stripe down her

back. she has a tiny tail not even 3/8 " long but when she is cliimbing her

wire cage she uses her tail to help hold her balance wrappin it tight one the

wire, it is too cute.

at a wondefrul yard sale, i found this great bird cage, it was originally a

mans chest of drawers, it had the legs, and all 4 corner peaces and the top,

the rest of the wood was removed and replaced with sturdy grid wires. and a

nice door was made from the wood to open and get into the cage. it was pretty

weathered but sissy took it and sanded it odown and stained it with natural

colr stain, it is gorgeous.we will put our two silver and one pied cockatiels

in it. my 2 males all wolf whistle at me and donnie as we change clothes. nd

the female does too very quietly it sso cute to hear them all whistle,

sissys dad isgoing to make me a rabbit hutch to match the bird cage so i can

move my rabbits into the living room as well. i have given him the

dimensions that wanted and sissy will stain it to matchmy bird cage. we will

put our 2

holland lop eared bunnies in there. and their 2 brand new baby bunnies. our

2 babies were born today, and momma has nursed them and made a nest of her

fur and some other nesting material i have put into the cage. this is their

first litter and while she is nursing he, stands guard over them . she has

moved

themfrom one corner where she apparently had the first babby to her nsest

where she had the second one. they are so pretty yet so ugly no fur, but it is

so amazing to see the miracle of birth and new life.

donnies cat curious the one who was feline leukemia carrier has disappeared

we are afraid that she may have finally become symptomatic and passed away or

tha one of our neighbors who doesnt like animals called the pound and got

her picked up. as she loved his garage she would catch the field mice in their.

we still have daddys cat stormy who is currently layin here in front of me,

can you guys here him purr, he is a loud purrer. sissy cat smoky sissy has

lost a lot of weight as she runs and play since she was brought here, when she

lived iwth sissys dad she would eat and lay around.here the dogs keep her

rnning an playing so she is a nice looking healthycat.

Sissys collie Lady Bird *she s so elegant she reminds me of LadyBird

Johsnon. sissy named her lady i added bird when she moved here. and her dog

Peewee

are all very active and peewee will take ladybirdsball and play tag with her,

it is funny.

my oldest yorkie misty 15 years old now, she eats sleeps and sleeps and

sleep, lol,, she has minor bake problems, anddoesnt hear very well, so the old

rule let a sleeping dog lie, is true she will wake up fighting if yu touch her

when she s asleep. she is very loving otherwise. and kerrys dog sissy wissy

also 14, her breast cancer has advanced thru the skin now and she has a cancer

tumor on her spine but she plays, eats and barks so at this point we havent

made a decision, her good days definitey outwiegh her bad days, but we are

watching both misty and sissy carefully, as we wont let either suffer

needlessly.

donnies italian greyhound rascal lives up to his name, rascal. always into

something. he is a riot he is a wussy, scared of thunder and loud noises.

my yorkie baby, boogie is still sort of aggressive but doesnt take it out on

me, and is learnin that he is not master of the house i am. he tries to be

leaddog, but is reminded by misty and snickers my oldest boy yorkie 13 years

old. one time it was so funny snickers got really upset with boogie and his

attitude. that h finally turned on boogie and scared boogie so bad that

snickers flipped him onto his back taht he not only offerd his throat in

submission

but peed all over himself and the bed, no boogie rspects shickers, he will

let snickers eat first, etc. it is funny

and becase of all our critters is one of the reasonsw bought an RV for

hurricane evacuatin.s i wont leave any of my babies behind, not hamster not

bunnies, noone of them, i hae travel cages for the rabbits and birds, and

kennels

for the dogs, not that i would put htem in them but in casei need them

but i idd want to share about our 2 new bunnies, i think she is done but i

wll kee a close eye on here. we are soooooo excited. hugs to all, sharon m

Hey Sharon,

I lost count of all the animals when reading your email! You must have to do a

head count every night to just make sure every one is where they should be. You

should tell the vet and pet food store manager that you want a percentage of

their profits! :) Thank you for being such a good friend to the animals of this

world.
