Desley,

your sounds so much like Emma in regards to speech. She said two or

three words as a toddler and then stopped and hasn't spoken since. She had a

few surgeries at the time and we feel she went into a depression. she is now 4

yr. 10 mo. she only has 2-3 signs, and is now using one sign with verbal

prompts as opposed to hand over hand which i am so thrilled about. she will

very rarely say momma or no about 1x a mo.( but becoming ever so slightly more

frequent). i agree with the idea that it must be a language processing

barrier. have gotten no other answers for this lack of speech and

inconsistency. I know it is in that little head it just is having trouble

getting out. hope you have some luck and answers soon.
