I've recently learned my son has something called " BH4 deficiency " which leads

to buildup of phenylalanine in the body. BH4 is also involved with detoxing

ammonia. Perhaps this could be part of the issue with aspartame sensitivity (I

have it too). The remedies that help address it are 5MTHF (active folate), B6

and l-ascorbic acid or direct supplementation of tetrahydobiopterin (BH4), which

apparently is expensive and not readily available OTC.
