Guest guest
I am learning so much in just my first day in this group! This explains to me what happened to me a year ago when I tried the Crinone 4% vaginal gel (progesterone) for only one cycle. After using the Crinone, I began having uterus cramps and a non-stop migraine. After quitting the Crinone 2 days early, the cramps stopped, but the migraine continued on for two months. (I threw out the Crinone and never used it again.) Then I started to have hot flashes again, which hadn't happened for the last 10 years that I was taking 1 mg. estradiol per day. After the hot flashes started, I finally recognized that " something " was blocking my estrogen receptors, and I started to up my dose of estrogen until I reached the dose that stopped my migraine. The dose was twice as much as I had been using. Now, even one year later, I still need 2 mg. estradiol per day instead of the 1 mg. per day that was sufficient for me for 10 years. Until now, I couldn't understand why using the Crinone was still affecting me one year later. And Crinone is supposed to be a low 20 mg. per day dose! Can I assume that most of you are taking the natural progesterone orally, as in Prometrium or a compounded capsule? Estradiol doesn't seem to build up in the skin, but progesterone must, so I guess progesterone creams are out? > > > Shinta, > > After several months on the high dose progesterone in the Wiley Protocol, > many of us began to feel that the progesterone was " stuck " in our tissues, and > that it had built up over the months. > > Dr. Bent Formby (check the _www.rhythmicliving.com_ > (http://www.rhythmicliving.com) website) found the research showing this was true.
