Hi ,

One of my husbands main symptoms was fatigue which the LDN took care of. He

went from working only half days from Sept to Dec of 2004, to being able to

stay at work the whole day. He has not come home early since he started

LDN. However, He had great depression and could not get out of bed in the

mornings, which the LDN did not take care of. The first day he had DLP (in

Feb of 2005) he came home with energy and feeling very happy. He has not

had a depression day since or a hard time getting up in the morning. It

should be taken on an empty stomach. He started with one in the morning and

one in the afternoon. Later he went down to just the one in the morning.

When we spent 2 days at Disneyland we asked him to take the afternoon one

too. It seems to work when he needs the added boost.

Someone described DLP as being like a fuel for helping the endorphins last

throughout the day.

***** , do not take DLP if you have high blood pressure or if you have

cancer********

Take care

I don't describe it as fatigue, but drug induced sleepiness,

overwhelming sleepiness. I think I sleep so hard, even on the reduced

dose of 3 mg., that I stay in the same position too long and sometimes

wake up very stiff. For me, this started with the first dose, which was

4.5 mg. It actually got a bit better with time. Later in the day I

would have great energy, but getting out of bed was SO difficult. Just

my experience, not advocating dosage change for anyone. I'm not

qualified for that. I should add I do not have MS (my wife does). I am

hypothyroid, which, though not trivial, is not nearly as intimidating as

MS. If I had MS, I would be more inclined to stay at the higher dose

and deal with the urge to sleep, even take advantage of it, time

permitting. I encourage my wife to sleep plenty any chance she gets.

IMO, there's nothing better than good sleep for healing.

Hi Wesley,

I am a fairly new member of this group and I have to tell you right off

the bat that I don't have MS either. I do have fibromyalgia and

Arthritis and am 75 years old. Terrible pain most of the time. I have

been taking LDN since last Sept. 2005. I feel GREAT!. The last two

months have been the best I have felt in years having been diagnosed

with Fibro about some 10 years ago. I did have a bit of trouble

sleeping at first but that has passed. Now in the mornings no

stiffness or anything but wake up and it's easy to get up out of bed.

I used to be so stiff that it took some time to get energized to get

out of bed in the mornings. I don't have any pain at all anywhere. I

have lost a bit of weight but not much and have a good appetite. I have

lots of energy, more than I've had for a long time. I started out

taking ldn 3.00 mg for 10 days and then 3.5 for another 10 days and

then 4.00 mg. for 10 more and finally got to 4.5 mg and have been on

this for 4 months. It took a little while for the ldn to kick in - but

kick in it really did. Wesley, does your wife take ldn? Since you

said she has MS, should she not be taking it as well! Hope this gives

you a bit of encouragement to continue with ldn and see what happens

for you. Take care.

Wesley,

I have been on LDN for 1 month now and

have exactly the same symptoms as you when I started LDN 4.5 mg with acidophilus

filler. Yesterday I changed to 3mg. I am hoping there will be some relief. I

have found that my numbness is creeping over my body at a more increased rate.

The stiffness seems to be effecting my ability to walk, but I still am. My

fingers are becoming more stiff rather than just numb. There are some positives

my wife tells me I have some of my zest for life back. All other symptoms are

there and I feel them lurking in the background.

Has any one had similar experience and

come out with MS under control?

Regards phil

Hi Phil,

My husband started with 4.5mg. He felt new areas of numbness and tingling, it was scary. When we reduced him down to 3mg things got much better. He is 95% back to pre-MS now.

Hang in there
