Guest guest
Hi group: I just confirmed with the pharmacy my prescription of 3mg of LDN will be delivered today!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wanted to ask if $ 39.24 per month is out of line? The insurance company will only pay $ 14.00. I'am from Canada. I wanted to email to thank everyone that helped me especially Aletha, Alan from Burlington, and K. I was hoping can anyone help me with a supplement regiment I should adopt? Is anyone taking baclofen with LDN? I will ask the pharmacist too. I was hoping some Canadians can help me. Like suppliers, stores etc. I would like to minimize my costs as much as possible. Seeing the posts of yesterday, I don't think ordering Naltrexone from Mexico is a good option. If anyone has any questions, please don't hesistate contact me. Guest guest
Hi Sheldon, Great news in regards to your prescription. In the welcome e-mail there should be some attachments on supplements from Dr. ce and there should also be my husbands list called 's supplements. I will also forward one that Dee sent out to the group. The MS diets also seem to be very helpful for MS'rs, especially in combination with LDN and supplements. Let us know how it goes. Remember to work with your dosage if things aren't perfect at the beginning. My best Aletha Re: [low dose naltrexone] LDN-day one Hi group: I just confirmed with the pharmacy my prescription of 3mg of LDN will be delivered today!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hi Sheldon, Congrats on the Rx my fellow Canadian !!! Which pharmacy are you using? My LDN costs $119.00 for 2 months liquid supply from the Medicine Shoppe in Richmondhill. You're lucky that your insurance pays any amount for LDN, mine refuses entirely because it's not a medically approved drug for MS. So I wouldn't mind saving some money too.... > > Hi group: > > I just confirmed with the pharmacy my prescription of 3mg of LDN will be delivered today!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
From the " Great White North " ....our healthcare system is paid mostly by the Canadian Government, this includes most doctor visits and hospitalization. However for the most of us, it doesn't include prescription drugs or dental or vision wear and such. Most working/ employed Canadians are covered for these other health expenses through their employer benefits plan. I still think we have a much better system than other countries. Some advantages of living in .... " The Great White North " !!! > > Dear lucky Canadians: > Hey! I thought you guys all had some state insurance thing where all the taxes pay for medical stuff. Are there different insurance companies??? i th ought you all had it so much better than we poor yanks down here.....am I wrong? > > Nola in California, land of fruits and NUTS > [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN-day one > > > Hi Sheldon, > > Congrats on the Rx my fellow Canadian !!! > Which pharmacy are you using? Guest guest
Sheldon, assuming you're talking Canadian dollars, the price doesn't sound out of line at all. I get my LDN from Irmat Pharmacy in New York. Up until last month, my prescription drug plan didn't cover it, so I paid about $35/month for a 3-mg prescription. Guest guest
Another Canadian - I get my LDN from 's Pharmacy in Toronto and pay $90.11 for 100 caps of 4.5mg. When I first started ordering through 's I had to wait around 1 week or more for my prescrip. to be compounded, but now they always seem to have 4.5mg on-hand and I can pick it up within a day. I pay for it in full however I do submit the claim to my insurance company and am reimbursed 80% and the othe 20% through my husband's plan. I believe LDN minimizes my rrms symptoms and helps me get on with life. Take care Dianna
Guest guest
I'm not a 100% convinced that we are lucky. We have months of waiting for cancer treatments and years for a mri. Not enough family doctors to go around. Not enough nurses in hospitals. I wish there was some way to merge both systems. Take the good of both. Our health insurance plan for medications covers the ldn. I was surprised but told as long as it has one ingrediant of the the medication in it there would be coverage. My pharmacy even writes out a prescription receipt talking about compounding the medication for its clients and how in the long run it benefits us all. So anyone with medication coverage in Canada check with your company. It may surprise you to learn it is covered. Take Care > > > Dear lucky Canadians: > > Hey! Guest guest
I pay a little over $39 per 30 day supply, and my insurance won't cover any of the cost.Sheldon Bullis <shelbul@...> wrote: Hi group: I just confirmed with the pharmacy my prescription of 3mg of LDN will be delivered today!!!!!!!!!!!!!
