Guest guest
To listserve members of PT Manager and SOA-list: I have appreciated all of the conversations on PT Manager and the SOA listserves regarding productivity over the past few weeks. I am currently trying to get my hands not only around the productivity expecatations that are being used in similar treatment arenas but also around the staffing mix of PT, PTA and non-licensed personnel. We are a non-profit rehab system with an inpatient rehabilitation unit, a CORF certified Day Rehab program, and several outpatient facilities with caseloads varying from " rehab " to " orthopedics " . I'm interested in hearing about your staff mix in each of these settings. If any of you would be willing to share information, please reply to me directly at the email address below to the following questions. Once we have some response and have analyzed the data I'll be happy to share the results with any members of the listserve that are interested. Thank you! S. , PT Clinical Coordinator of Physical Therapy Sheltering Arms Richmond, VA jadams@... FAX SURVEY: 1. What setting do you currently practice in or provide management support to? (if several, please answer questions 2-6 separately for each setting) 2. In terms of patient care units or visits, what is the current productivity expecation per FTE in your clinic? 3. If you determine productivity in a way other than billable units, please explain: 4. Are your productivity expecations different for PT vs. PTA? 5. In your practice setting what is the ratio of PT to PTA? For example, out of 6 FTE's how many are PT, how many PTA? 6. How many non-licensed personnel do you have in your practice setting per licensed FTE? For example for 6 FTE of PT/PTA with 2 techs that would be 0.33 non-licensed FTE per 1.0 FTE of licensed personnel. THANK YOU very much for your time and assistance with this project.
