Guest guest
Hi Maureen, I've just read your email to on this subject and wanted to comment with my own experience. Perhaps it does not react the same with everyone since we each may have various additional illnesses. My weight loss since starting ldn was not fluid related, in fact, the edema in my left leg has increased because of arterial plaques. As you mentioned appetite is diminished, I noted it is in my case, yipeee since I'm on the far side of Rubinesque and am happy to be dropping the lbs.! Another plus for ldn! With regard to the smoke study, hope it works for others, it has not had any effect on those cravings for me as yet, curious as to what dosage they are using in the study..... Guest guest
Hi Georgina! Wouldn't it be great if naltrexone could help people stop smoking without gaining weight? Here is more info about the study at Yale: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=20507 It says they are using a " low dose " of naltrexone, but not exactly what dose. Are you trying to quit smoking? Maureen
Guest guest
Thanks Maureen, looks interesting, will check it closely in the am when I can focus a bit better. Issues with ins. co. and my Provigil, so by evening I'm useless. The pain benefit from Provigil gone too till I can get more, left leg is about useless now. Though I have tried to quit smoking on my own, unsuccessfully, it does help with pain sometimes by diversion, at least it seems to. So I'm not sure I'm ready to give it up right now. I know, what a foolish thing to hang on to, but I'll have to explore that one. Perhaps ldn will kick in with smoking for me as it has for appetite. Thanks again for the feedback and info.
