Jen, many times finger numbness is due to a neck problem. It depends which fingers are numb. I would check that out first.

Also , there is a 70% success rate (FDA)approved......laser , non-invasive. Carpal Tunnel treatment. It is difficult to find a good accupuncturist who does it , but if it is Carpal Tun, I would look into it. Kiki

OK I have posted here a few times in the past few

weeks about the

numbness that has occured in my hand. I have been on

LDN sice Jan 04...

I went to the GP on Monday night and she thinks maybe

it is not the MS

but Carpal Tunnel.

OK I have only had one MS attack and it was in my legs

and then I lost

dexterity in my hands but this numbness is constant in

just the

fingertips of my right hand.

Does anyone have carpal tunnel and MS is there a way

to tell the

difference??

Does anyone else get numbness in their hands?? I do

not know if this is

the MS or something else please help!

Thanks

jen

Thanks for the positive feedback!

OK I know that I am lucky but I am trying to get to the bottom of

what is going on right now.

I was lucky to have found LDN at the start of my MS

Yes to all. I have MS and I have CT. I get the numbness. When I do, often I can "rub it out" by rubbing my hand on something a little rough, like a wool blanket. But the main thing I do for it, and this *works* is taking Bromelain. I get it at: http://www.doctorstrust.com/item/DT0311-3.html This is the same as what I ordered and it helps Me totally. I have "bad" CT in both hands and without it I'd be in surgery, with it I feel nothing but the occasional tingle/numbness.

Good luck!

My wife does have numbness in her hands. It was the left for 9 years.

LDN made it much better. The last exacerbation, definitely stress

induced, caused right hand numbness for the first time. Both hands she

says are still slightly numb, but much better. Hope this helps.

I was DX with Carpal Tunnel in 1992 I think... I never thought to mention it to my chiro and she worked on my wrists every time I went to see her. I used to get periodic swelling of my wrists... I also used to use a keyboard 8-12 hours a day. After 3 weeks of her treatments I never had the swelling again.

In 2002 when I was being tested to find out what was wrong with me, the docs doing the muscle tests told me they had good news and bad news. They said the good news was they were erasing Carpal Tunnel from my records, their tests showed 100% through each wrist, no sign of problems.

The bad news was, my 'problem' wasn't between my neck and fingers, so they told me to go find an insurance doc Neuro. That lead to my MRIs and MS DX.

I was told back in 2002 that sometimes Carpal Tunnel is a misdiagnosis that could very well be MS related. The repetitive motion triggers the MS issues.

If you're getting carpal tunnel problems after starting LDN, your body could be trying to address the issue, I'd give it some time. If you have a chiropractor, I'd ask them to check and adjust your wrists, which I still have mine do every so often.

From what I can tell in my experience, the only time(s) I had both hands numb numb numb was in reaction to CHOCOLATE/COCOA intake (the worst being when I didn't even KNOW it, it was in 'french vanilla' coffee as an ingredient!)
