Guest guest
Hi everyone; I'm the one who just had a hysterectomy for papillary serous carcinoma, and am still in post-op recovery. I'm still hoping someone here has had experience using LDN for this kind of cancer. (If you do and want to let me know about it, can you email me offlist? I am not able to keep up with all the posts here.) It was in my uterus; a big tumor, halfway through the uterine wall and into the vein. After removal, the oncologist/surgeon stepped in to check my lymph nodes. They found cancer cells there too. Alas. The pressure is on to do chemo, but I'm hoping to avoid it. I'm taking LDN, Essiac, tending my body and my belly, resting as much as I can, being very careful about what I eat. A couple of friends have offered to do some veggie juices for me now and then. Another friend is researching juicers and is going to send me one. I don't have energy or space right now to juice for myself, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get some help with this. Eventually I'll be moving to the upstairs part of my house (now being sublet to my housemate), where there is more space, so then I'll be able to juice myself. I have a history of colon and digestive issues due to a former bout with ulcers and ongoing candida. In case any of this info is of use to anyone here, below are some remedies that have been helping me with these, since everything is exacerbated by the surgery. Severe constipation has been a big issue since I got home from the hospitals. I've had to cut out all painkillers because they all cause constipation. Except for hemp, which I smoked a lot of for a while, but then found out there is no clear info on whether or not it interferes with LDN, so I stopped a few days ago. So zero painkillers now. Not doing tylenol either as it stresses my (also not up to par) liver... Remedies to help with constipation and digestion: Chinese herbal: Mu Xiang Wan Eight little round black pills three times a day is the usual prescription. I did six today with my one meal, and it seemed to be enough so far. Since I am more sensitive than most I am being cautious about doing the full dose. It is very gentle and nourishes the colon and g.i. tract. https://www.drshen.com/index.html Got this at the Herb Room here in Santa Cruz, a very good healthfood pharmacy that carries more products than my neighborhood healthfood store. If you can't find it locally you can order it at the above website. Look up "constipation" in the dropdown menu and this remedy will come up with ordering info. It's not expensive; I paid $5. Tincture: "Gastrizyme" from Natura Botanical Laboratories at the health food pharmacy comes in a bottle with medicine dropper, label suggests 20 drops for a dose, two to four times a day... I just did it once today so far... it has licorice in it and tastes nice. www.NaturaRx.com http://www.naturarx.com/acidreflux-gastrizyme.html It's listed at the above site at $9.95 I think I paid more at Staff of Life, my local healthfood store pharmacy; they are pretty pricey sometimes. Another Chinese herbal remedy I use a lot to soothe and settle my stomach: Wei Ti Ling I take four to six to eight little yellow tabs if my tummy's upset; works wonderfully! The box says it is also good for the colon and g.i. tract. About $6. And then there's their famous "Curing Pills" that seem to be generally good for all digestive issues. Today I took one cap (it's a clear capsule with about twenty teensy teensy little pills inside) with the same meal I took the first remedy with. I usually open and discard he clear gell capsule and just pour all the teensy pill-lets onto my tongue. They wash down easily with water. I think this one is also about $5. It's great if you can get acupuncture along with taking the Chinese herbs.. they work really well together. I have had great success with acupuncture when I could afford it. Remedies for the post-op surgery: A friend sent me homeopathic opium from England, but I haven't taken it either. It would be great for pain, but I'm afraid it might interfere with LDN. It's different from regular opiates, since homeopathics are reduced and reduced down, but there's just no information available on what effect it might have on LDN, so I can't chance it. (Docs told me this cancer I have is aggressive and fastmoving, so LDN is top priority now.) She also sent me homeopathic arnica- 200c. I've been taking one tab of this under the tongue. You have to have a window for homeopathic remedies when there is nothing else in your system...food, drugs, nothing... at least 15 min. on each side of taking it...though since my bodily functions are slow, I need at least half an hour. Arnica is a fabulous remedy for healing injured tissue. I'm also rubbing arnica jell on my hurting belly. I'm applying neosporin jell to my incision several times a day. It helps with pain, keeps things antiseptic. I hope to get some vitamin E tabs soon, also for helping to heal the incision/scar. I hope these things are of help to someone here...
