Shooting Pains in Head

Hi All,

I am having a bit of a relapse, my right forearm has went a bit numb and I

keep getting shooting pains on my right temple and just above it, I’m told

this is due to the nerve switching on and off. It wasn’t to bad at first,

as it was only happening now and then, but it is now happening when I’m

sleeping, and consequently it is waking me up.

Has anyone else experienced the shooting pains in their head, if so did they

do anything to help it?

Thanks in advance

Iain

I have had similar since going on LDN...I have had shooting pains in my temple,

shoulder and my breast(OUCH!!), groin(OUCH!!) and jerking muscles in my

arms(lasted several weeks) and my eyelid(lasted 1 1/2 months). Each spot would

do this for several weeks at a time. They disappear later just as mysteriously

as they appear. I've always thought since I've been on LDN for 2 1/2 years that

maybe these are electrical signals from the brain that were blocked before and

maybe the LDN is unblocking the nerve pathways gradually. I know I have not

progressed one tiny bit but I do have these quirks from time to time.

Annoyances YES, for me progression NO and I have not progressed with these

quirks any at all. I just ride them out or take massager to the areas that I

can massage.

I use to have that and it got so bad that I went to the ER and told them I

had fainted. I never fainted to begin with but fabricated the story so I

would be admitted to the hospital for 3 days of very thorough testing to

exclude the possibility of brain tumor or stroke. They kept telling me prior

to the fabrication I had anxiety disorder. HA!!!!! Calcium EAP injections

made the electrical shocks go away. It was also on the right parietal

radiata of the temporal lobe. Are you taking LDN? That should help in time.

Best wishes, Kathy

Iain,

Since starting the ldn a month ago, I get occasional burning pain in

my right temple which is quite severe, I would almost call it

surface pain. I can't say that it's a shooting pain, however.

There are times where it is very bothersome, but I am finding as the

weeks go by, I have it less and less. I hope this helps.

My friend with ms had that happen to her and it was so bad she would

fall on the floor with pain. She went and got acupuncture and after

2 times it has not returned.
